Vinkara 2022 Hasandede, Turkiye ($22.99)

Blind Bishop, the wine bar and store in Oak Cliff, served this as part of their Saturday free tasting flight. Grown in the hills above the Turkish capital of Ankara the obscure white grape Hasandede appears to excel.

Tart, minerally, but with body and a slight texture in its mouthfeel it reminds me of those obscure Italian white grapes that so enlarge the ine tasting experience.

Few cases left, and it was flying off the shelves on Saturday, check it out now. Gret as a quaffer, or with scallops, crab, or fish.

Sample.
