Celebrate the arrival of longer and warmer days with the vibrant flavors of Portugal! Introducing two new white wine releases from Symington Family Estates' most recent project in Portugal's Vinho Verde DOC in collaboration with renowned Vinho Verde winemaker Anselmo Mendes:

Contacto Alvarinho 2024 (SRP $22)

Produced exclusively from 100 percent Alvarinho grapes from the prestigious Monção and Melgaço sub-region of Vinho Verde, Contacto Alvarinho showcases the distinctive grape variety. A temperate climate, influenced by surrounding Spanish and Portuguese mountains, creates a unique blend of rainfall, temperature, and sunlight ideal for grape maturation. Situated near the river with sandy loam granite soils, the vineyards selected for this wine feature prominent alluvium and fluvial terraces, imparting the wine's characteristic complexity and minerality.

Contacto Loureiro 2024 (SRP $22)

From the Lima sub-region of Vinho Verde, this delicious wine showcases the distinctive aromatic exuberance of the noble Loureiro grape. Throughout the Lima valley there are mid-slope vineyards that give the wine an acidity marked by the salinity coming from the Atlantic Ocean. As a result, Contacto Loureiro offers notable freshness and an expressive nose highlighting citrus and floral aromas, with a light scent of white flowers such as jasmine. Mineral and vibrant,  this wine undergoes a slight skin maceration with the must, resulting in a pure expression of the Loureiro grape variety.
