Good idea this: brunch from 9 in the morning until 4pm every day. The weekend’s popular indulgent meal available when you want it. All the faves like eggs benedict, avocado toast, burritos (this is San Antonio), burgers, fish tacos. In fact, a massive menu.
Located in Hemisfair, the booming development near the largest convention center in Texas (Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center) guaranteed foot traffic. They open at 9am on Sunday. We arrived at 10am for a media event and they were virtually full.
Servers cope well with rush and our meal tempo was comfortable. The Scramble Bowl (truffle roasted mushrooms, herb roasted tomatoes, hollandaise, chicken sausage, hash browns, scrambled rosette egg), $16, was filling. The Eggs Benny (two poached eggs, burnt butter hollandaise, hash browns, canadian bacon), $18, was precisely prepared with the egg yolks runny, ready to drown the bacon.
Cappuccino was good quality coffee that demanded a second cup and orange juice hit the spot as well.
We were too full to manage a dessert, but Mexican Hot Chocolate Cake ($8), and Strawberry Tres Leches ($8) sounded tempting.
Recommended.
