DALLAS, TX (August 24, 2026) – Burger Schmurger, the Dallas smashburger destination known for its cult-favorite burgers and creative monthly specials, is giving Dallasites an excuse to skip the trek to Fair Park this year with the launch of The Big Tex burger, available throughout September as the restaurant's latest Burger of the Month.

Named for the towering cowboy icon that greets fairgoers at Fair Park every fall, The Big Tex packs all the flavor of a day at the fair into one burger, without the sunburn, the packed parking lots or the wait in line. Burger Schmurger's Big Tex comes topped with Butter Lettuce, Red Onion, Roma Tomatoes, a Corn Dog, Texas Chili and Queso, all served on a Glazed Donut – an over-the-top mashup of classic fair fare and Burger Schmurger's signature smash, sweet, smoky and savory in every bite.

Priced at $14, The Big Tex is Burger Schmurger's answer to State Fair of Texas season, which returns to Fair Park September 25 through October 18, 2026 – all the flavor, none of the heat or the headache. No tickets, no triple-digit heat index, no forty-five-minute line for a corn dog – just a seat at the bar and a burger that does the work for you.
