Chef Francisco Baca, the Executive Chef at Blind Salamander Kitchen & Bar at Omni Barton Creek Resort in Austin, has won the Austin Heritage Fire event for the second year in a row.

 

Chef Baca's winning portfolio included Thai Pork Cheddar Sausage, Lobster Roll, Kimchi Kraut, Honey Mustard Salsa, and Chicken Cracklings, which impressed the judges and attendees alike. His unique approach to cooking, which brings together cultures through fresh ingredients and innovative dishes, has made him a standout in the culinary world.

 

As a 15-year veteran in the industry, Chef Baca has made a name for himself in both Austin and San Francisco. He has worked under renowned chefs such as Elizabeth Falkner and Dennis Lee, and has been recognized for his talent, including winning the 2012 Mole to Die For Award in San Francisco.
