Yardbird Southern Table and Bar, a Southern-oriented restaurant with lively cocktail scene that already has establishments in Miami, Las Vegas, Singapore, and Los Angeles has come to Dallas and threw a giant opening party on Saturday in association with The American Cancer Society and Cattle Barron's Ball. We attended on a media invite.

We were there in our Southern Chic and discovered that the Dallas execuchef is non other than Jonathan Thompson whose stints include José Andres' short-lived Frisco Zaytinya, the rather longer-lived McKinney Sugarbacon, the medium-lived Samar, and the long-lived Stampede 66.
