Derrick Carter, Rich Medina, Lefto, SOULECTION founder Joe Kay, and Mark Farina headline a month of immersive programming inside Dallas’ first high-fidelity listening bar

 

DALLAS, TEXAS (June 3, 2026) – Shyboy Hi-Fi continues its momentum this summer with a sensational June programming lineup that brings internationally respected DJs, genre-defying selectors, and community-driven music collectives to its intimate listening room in downtown Dallas. Located beneath The Drakestone at 1313 Main Street, the venue’s June calendar reflects its ongoing commitment to deep listening culture, expansive musical discovery, and dance floor-focused experiences rooted in sound quality and intentional curation.

 

The month is anchored by several standout bookings, including Chicago house legend Derrick Carter (June 6), whose decades-long influence on global dance music culture has helped define the sound and spirit of house music internationally. Carter’s appearance coincides with Dallas Pride’s historic move to Downtown Dallas for 2026 and will serve as the official-unofficial Dallas Pride Sunset Parade Afterparty at Shyboy Hi-Fi, bringing one of dance music’s most respected selectors to an intimate late-night celebration in the heart of the city. The evening will also feature performances from Mark Farina and Zack Witness.

Shyboy will also debut of a new Shyboy merchandise pop-up inspired by the global energy surrounding soccer culture in Dallas this summer, the collection leans heavily into sport-driven aesthetics and vintage-inspired fanwear through a Shyboy lens. The collection will include custom soccer jerseys, new hats, graphic tees, sticker packs, underwear and branded lighters, with pricing ranging from $5 to $75.  A portion of ticket proceeds from the event will benefit the Dallas Pride Foundation, further reinforcing the venue’s ongoing commitment to community-driven cultural programming.

 

Later in the month, Philadelphia-born selector and cultural tastemaker Rich Medina (June 12) brings his signature blend of hip-hop, soul, house, and rare groove selections to the space, while Belgian tastemaker Lefto (June 19) delivers one of the month’s most globally minded sets spanning jazz, broken beat, hip-hop, electronic, and experimental sounds.

 

On June 20, Shyboy Hi-Fi welcomes SOULECTION founder Joe Kay for a highly anticipated evening celebrating one of the most influential music collectives in modern global beat culture. Known for championing boundary-pushing artists across R&B, hip-hop, electronic, and future soul, the SOULECTION brand has cultivated an international following rooted in discovery and genre fluidity.

June will also introduce “The Suntory Sessions” (June 14), a new nightlife and cultural series presented in partnership with Suntory that blends Japanese whisky culture, elevated highball service, and globally influenced music programming during a major summer of international soccer in Dallas. Launching alongside Japan’s opening tournament match, the series channels the energy of Tokyo’s listening bars, jazz kissas, and late-night dance culture into an immersive hospitality experience for Dallas visitors and locals alike. The evening will feature specialty highball offerings, exclusive Suntory highball machines, and curated cocktail experiences alongside music programming from Japanese guest DJ Takaya Nagase and Dallas-based selectors, creating a cross-cultural soundtrack reflective of the global energy surrounding soccer culture in the city this summer.

 

Designed as an accessible, community-driven experience rooted in music discovery, nightlife, and cultural exchange, “The Suntory Sessions” reflects Shyboy Hi-Fi’s continued focus on globally inspired programming and immersive hospitality experiences. With international tourism and global attention converging on Dallas throughout the summer, the series brings a contemporary Japanese nightlife perspective to the city’s evolving cultural landscape while bridging Tokyo and Dallas through hospitality, sound, and shared experience.

 

The calendar also includes the return of Mushroom Jazz creator Mark Farina (June 10), whose downtempo and house-driven sets have become a staple within global dance music culture, alongside respected selectors and local favorites including Ash Lauryn, Kon, Dvize, Red Eye, and Sober. Throughout the month, Shyboy Hi-Fi continues to balance internationally recognized talent with recurring community-centered programming and local collaborations that reflect the venue’s growing cultural footprint within Dallas nightlife.

Recurring nights throughout June continue to reinforce the venue’s evolving identity. “Contour with Sober” (June 27) returns as one of Shyboy Hi-Fi’s signature dance floor-driven series, while “Record Dogo Night” (June 25) further highlights the venue’s blend of vinyl culture, hospitality, and immersive listening experiences.

 

Additional talent throughout the month includes a mix of internationally respected touring artists and local favorites including Georgie T, Brandon + Alfredo, Kowboy, Speculator, Tim Funatik, Hannah Hammond, Ari Villa, Soy Darks, Trucha Soul, and Sue Problema, reinforcing Shyboy Hi-Fi’s role as both a destination for global talent and a platform for Dallas’ music community.

 

Looking ahead, July programming will feature a special appearance from renowned DJ, producer, and cultural innovator Theo Parrish on Saturday, July 11. Making his debut at the venue, Parrish will host an intimate Sound Advice™ listening session in The Blue Room, offering guests a rare opportunity to hear one of dance music's most influential voices discuss the records, ideas, and inspirations that have shaped his singular approach to sound. Following the conversation, Parrish will take over the main room booth for an extended late-night set.
