Gay-Owned Napa Winery Celebrates Pride Month

FROM THE WIRES...

Gentleman Farmer, A gay-owned family winery in Napa Valley, Gentleman Farmer’s founders and husbands, Joey Wolosz and Jeff Durham, are proudly Certified LGBTBE® by the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

Recently named “Men of Style” in San Francisco Magazine’s style issue, the dapper duo opened the Gentleman Farner Bungalow, A Studio for Gustatory Well-Being in December 2023 to immediate acclaim. Located at 1564 First Street in Downtown Napa, the new social space for Gentleman Farmer is a reimagined 1926 California craftsman bungalow, designed and outfitted by Wołosz and Durham, and meant to recreate the intimate (and rare!) experience of dining in a winemaker’s home. They offer paired five-course lunches and three-course breakfasts as well as Breakfast of Champions – an early morning pairing experience that includes a 5K run through Downtown Napa’s riverfront or a guided meditation for those looking to balance out the meal.

Gentleman Farmer is known in local circles as one of Napa Valley’s most impressive alternative culinary wine pairing experiences. Jeff and Joey offer intricate and 100% homemade – right down to the homemade mustard, brioche, blinis, rillette, pancetta, terrines, souffles, cassoulets, and pastries – pairing experiences serve as a means of introduction to Gentleman Farmer.

In honor of Pride month, Gentleman Farmer made a Pride-themed 2021 Red Blend (Merlot-dominant, SRP: $99) and is donating 5% of the proceeds of the wine to the It Gets Better Project and 5% to LGBTQ Connection.

  • 2021 Gentleman Farmer Napa Valley Chardonnay (SRP: $49) – Sourced from the famed Muir-Hanna vineyard, with aromas of Meyer lemon, lime zest, dried apricot, baked green apple, and a hint of guava and papaya. The palate is generous with aromas of jasmine and almond flowers.
