I checked it out at a media event and am a convert. Here is the menu that we had.
That cannelloni is absolutely fantastic, right down to the subtle hint of nutmeg in the cream sauce.
The COLLEDILA Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is actually a very special wine. Those words really mean something. First, the grapes come from the ‘classic’ (traditional, central area) of Chianti. Second, it is one of the first examples of a new top quality rating introduced by Italian regulators: ‘Gran Selezione’. Its main import is that it must be 100% estate grown (all of the vineyards are owned by the winery), in addition there are higher levels of alcohol and extract required above those of the previous top rating, Riserva. This example lives up to its billing and I am very impressed that the wines on this menu are so good. Wine lovers should put Antonio’s on their lists of restaurants with commendable Italian wine lists.
Don’t skip dessert. The strawberry covered cheesecake was one of the best that I have had in Dallas. Through all this Luqman Rashada entertained us on piano and waiter Guillermo provided attentive service.
Date Night is doable once more and doing it on Wednesday so much less hectic. It runs each Wednesday through June 12th, although I suspect Chef Antonio Avona will extend it.
