WINE REVIEW: Trefethen, 2019 Dry Riesling, Oak Knoll District, Napa Valley, CA ($26)

andychalk

by Andrew Chalk

There is still some riesling growing in Napa. Just when you thought it had all been pulled for cabernet sauvignon. And this one is very food-friendly. Try with poultry or white, fleshy fish.

Appearance: Light straw;

Nose: Green apples, lemon, white peach;

Palate: Vibrant acidity, firm body, steaks of apple flavors;

Sample.
