WINE REVIEW: The Prisoner Wine Company 2019 ‘Blindfold’ White Wine, CA ($32)

by Andrew Chalk

A chardonnay-viognier blend. The winery says “This white blend features aromas of lychee, stone fruit, citrus, apple pie, and peach, producing a full and balanced finish. Blindfold’s notes of lemon zest and caramelized sugar for a creamy and unique white wine, perfect for a cool spring day. Try some bold berries, plums, and cherries to highlight the refreshing flavors”

WINE REVIEW

Appearance: Light straw;

Nose: Tropical fruit (guava, pineapple), lemon, lime, pears;

Taste: Formidable body weight. Intense and voluble flavors of the fruits in the nose. Long mouthfeel.
