WINE REVIEW: The Prisoner, 2019 Chardonnay, Carneros, Ca. ($39)

This Chardonnay is firmly in the New World idiom with new French oak and tropical fruit in the nose. Pineapple and mango in the mouth. Notable body and a strident and welcome phenolic backbone. Little wonder the finish, led by the fruit, is so long-lived.
