Appearance: Rich, translucent ruby with garnet rim;

Nose: Raspberry, strawberry, licorice, cedar;

Taste: Mouthwatering raspberry and strawberry flavors. Grippy tannins and a long harmonious finish;

Try this with burnt ends of brisket (ours were from Smoke Shack in Hamilton, TX) is pork ribs. It is big enough to stand up to red meat, smoke char, and barbecue sauce. It will age for several years, but is impressive drinking now.

Texas Legato Winery is in Lampasas, a Texas town just off US-281 on the route from Dallas to The Hill Country. Get off the highway and take the road to Texas Legato past pristine golf courses and beautiful woodland. The winery produces a large range of wines, all made from Texas grapes. This one is actually grown on the estate vineyard, hence its Texas Hill Country appellation.
