WINE REVIEW: Sokol-Blosser 2022 GSM Columbia Valley, WA ($38)

andychalk

by Andrew Chalk

A fruit-driven wine that shows earthy notes of Syrah, spicy pepper notes of grenache, and foursquare structure of mourvèdre. A good quality pleasant everyday drinking wine. Best with food: game, lamb, barbecue.

Look for aromas and flavors of raspberry, black pepper, blueberry, roast meat, cigar box and thyme.

35% grenache, 30% syrah, 35% mourvedre.

Sample.
