Winemaker Aaron Miller worked magic on this example of New World syrah. It is young, but in a highly accessible style, right now. I would keep some for 5-8 years and try again. In its present condition it makes a stellar companion to lamb.
TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Opaque ruby.
Nose: Blackberry fruit and oak. Perfume, nettles, cinnamon five spice;
Palate: Grippy tannins dominate the mouthfeel. High alcohol (>15%) shows in the back palate. Pacy acid level keeps the flavors alive. Herbal undertones power a long finish.
