WINE REVIEW: McManis Family Vineyards 2019 Petite Sirah, Lodi, CA ($12)

by Andrew Chalk

McManis is in their fifth generation as a family grape grower. The family describes it “In 1990, Ron and Jamie McManis founded the family vineyard with a simple mission: to make quality wine at an honest price. Today, they farm over 3,600 acres of estate vineyards and continue to value family and small winery methods and take a careful hands-on approach to every drop of wine in their bottles. Their wines are available for delivery or pickup from a number of retailers online, including Drizly and Total Wine.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance: Opaque purple;

Nose: Perfumy aromas of blackberry that leap out of the glass.
