The story of Masottina--the one and only Prosecco featured in Wine Spectator's 2021 Top 100 Wines list--started in 1946, when Epifanio Dal Bianco established the winery on a 12-acre estate in the province of Treviso. Today, the family runs nearly 691 acres, most of them in the outstanding hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site.
TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Sparkling with straw hue;
Nose: Light earthy tones;
Palate: Light, approachable, minerality.
A sure-fire success as a celebration wine over the holiday period. Good value.
