WINE REVIEW: Line 39 2018 Sauvignon Blanc, California ($12)

Line 39 is a brand, intended to sell wine at a price point. On their web site are eight wines, all crowd-pleaser varieties, all $12.99. That is not a bad thing if it creates a solid value for consumers.

This Sauvignon Blanc does that. The nose is a herbaceous and citrus blend. On the palate the wine shows good body, firm phenolic backbone, bright acid, and lemon and lime flavors.

Enjoy it with seafood, maybe scallops or cod, poultry, maybe with a bechamel sauce, knowing that you paid a good price for a very acceptable and enjoyable wine.

Sample.
