A Pinot Noir (Blauburgunder in German) from the German influenced part of Italy that borders Austria. The terrain is mountainous and at altitude Pinot Noir produces expressive wines. This wine is distinctively different from California Pinot Noir from Russian River or the central coast. And somewhat leaner than Oregon examples.

Really enjoyable and ready to drink now..

Appearance: Translucent garnet;

Nose: Strawberry jam,

Palate: Medium high acidity, fine sandpaper tannin, pine needles, thyme, smoky, savory flavors;
