WINE REVIEW: 2017 Erath Pinot Noir, Oregon ($18)

by Andrew Chalk

Appearance: Brick red. Translucent core.

Nose: Earthy, forest floor, thyme, black pepper.

Palate: Soft but juicy tannins. Flavors of raspberry. Relatively simple.

Finish: Red fruit.

This is Erath’s popularly-priced offering. It is pleasant and worth the price, but not a complex wine.
