Appearance: Ruby red translucent core. Watery rim.

Nose: Abundant red fruit of raspberry, cranberry, bruised tomato. Hint of black pepper. Herbal notes of rosemary, oregano, thyme.

Palate: Medium acid, medium minus tannin, The red fruit is the primary flavor. Not complex.

Overall: There is a lot going on in the nose in particular of this excellent value wine. Cono Sur is a respected brand heretofore associated with more expensive varietal wines. I look at this as their play for a larger market with the ‘Bicicleta’ line being a cash flow gambit.

Recommended for value. Good to quaff or with barbecue.
