The PoBoy Shop to Celebrate Grand Opening Weekend in Preston Center with Louisiana Flavor and Golden Ticket Giveaways

Three days of food, festivities, and fun surprises, October 3–5

DALLAS, TX (September 16, 2025) –The PoBoy Shop, Dallas’ go-to for authentic Louisiana-style po’boys and bold Cajun sides, is thrilled to announce its Grand Opening Weekend, taking place Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 5 at 8421 Westchester Drive in The Plaza at Preston Center. Guests are invited to stop by anytime from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily to enjoy three days of festivities, giveaways, fun photo opportunities, and Southern hospitality that captures the spirit of Louisiana.

Though The PoBoy Shop quietly opened its doors this past July, this multi-day celebration marks its official Grand Opening—and serves as a thank-you to the Dallas community that’s already embraced the restaurant with open arms.

Founded by Lafayette native Evan Meagher and the team at Shops Hospitality Group, The PoBoy Shop was concepted based on the po’boy sandwich fix created from Evan’s Meat Market. Every po’boy is made with house-cured meats, scratch-made sauces, bold Cajun flavor, and Langlinais Bakery French bread flown in from Lafayette, LA—a true taste of Louisiana in every bite.

“We’ve been blown away by the love and support Dallas has shown us since opening,” said Evan Meagher, Founder of Shops Hospitality Group and The PoBoy Shop. “This celebration is our way of giving back—and of sharing even more of the flavor, culture, and hospitality we grew up with in Louisiana. We hope to welcome new customers who haven’t had a chance to stop by yet, and reconnect with familiar faces who have been part of this journey from day one.”

Adding to the celebration, The PoBoy Shop will also debut its highly anticipated side dish during Grand Opening Weekend: Chicken & Andouille Sausage Gumbo. Built on a rich, dark roux and packed with hearty chunks of chicken, smoked andouille, and slow-simmered vegetables, this traditional recipe stays true to Louisiana roots. Served deep, soulful, and satisfying with steamed Louisiana rice or a Lafayette-style twist of yellow potato salad.

Throughout the Grand Opening Weekend, The PoBoy Shop will surprise randomly selected guests with Golden Tickets tucked inside their orders. Each day, one lucky guest will receive a grand prize ticket redeemable for one free whole po’boy per week for an entire year. An additional six winners—two per day—will each receive one free half po’boy per week for a full year. No special entry is necessary; guests simply place an order and await the surprise with their meal.

Guests are also encouraged to drop off a business card when attending the Grand Opening festivities for a chance to win the Office Lunch Giveaway, which includes two large po’boy trays to share with their team or workplace.

To enhance the celebratory atmosphere, The PoBoy Shop will also feature a festive photo moment all weekend long—perfect for capturing an Instagram-worthy shot. Guests are encouraged to snap a picture and tag @thepoboyshopdallas on Instagram for a chance to be featured on the official page. To sweeten the deal, three lucky winners will be selected each day to receive a digital gift card for the best photo of the day. To be eligible, guests simply need to follow The PoBoy Shop on both Instagram and Facebook and tag @thepoboyshopdallas in their photo submission.
