Roseblood D'Estoublon 2024, Coteaux Varois en Provence, Vin de Provence, France ($27)

by Andrew Chalk

This wine is at once a classic provence rosé and equally an individualistic fruity expression of winemaking. It uses grneache noir and syrah grapes to provide flavor and texture and has enough skin contact to impart body on the palate with a heartwarming enveloping of the mouth.

At its peak. Serve with seafood, or chicken.

RELEASE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE PRODUCER

"Roseblood Rosé, the flagship cuvée of the esteemed Château d’Estoublon, is proud to announce the release of its new 2024 vintage. Helmed by co-owner and global fashion icon Carla Bruni, this stunning, vibrant wine redefines Provençal elegance and is the perfect mix of crisp acidity, nuanced floral notes, and layered minerality.

2024 was a challenging vintage with a lower yield, resulting in a rosé of refined intensity. A fresh balance of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Rolle offers a vibrant freshness and elegant structure, positioning Roseblood Rosé 2024 (SRP: $27) as a standout in this year’s rosé landscape.

Much like the enchanting setting of Château d’Estoublon itself, this wine is an invitation to experience Provence’s natural beauty and timeless artistry. A 300-hectare estate nestled in the Alpilles of Provence, Château d’Estoublon is an ethereal Garden of Eden, a lush countryside of vines, roses, and platan trees, surrounded by fields of lavender and a sprawling vegetable garden. The packaging of the wine itself exudes a whimsical and bold aesthetic - the serpent signifies seductive power, while the rose embodies vitality, capturing the true spirit of Estoublon."
