The Renaissance Hotel Dallas is an architecturally unforgettable hotel. The ‘lipstick building’ (as it is popularly known) is also a very well equipped and managed hotel, as I found out at a recent media event. Visitors to Market Center already know it’s the place to stay for large rooms, fast Internet, exquisitely comfortable beds, one of the best restaurants in the area (Asador), and a killer bar scene set around a tequila tower with over 60 selections.
But a lot more Dallas visitors would benefit from a stay at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel.
It is only two miles from the American Airlines Center for Mavericks Basketball and headline music acts from Elton John to Eric Clapton’s Guitar Festival.
Two miles from UT Southwestern Medical Center and closer to Children’s and Parkland hospitals.
A mile from Dallas Design District, Dallas’ most interesting and distinctive emerging neighborhood, featuring...
Dozens of interior design showrooms for home and work items;
Over a dozen art galleries -- and it is the core of the Dallas Art Dealers Association;
A burgeoning restaurant scene:
The Charles for Italian inflected New American cuisine;
Oak for fine dining;
Pie Tap for casual pizza and beer;
The Slow Bone for Texas barbecue;
Breweries:
One of Texas’ best wineries started here, Inwood Estates Vineyards, and, while the hub of its operations is now in The Texas Hill Country, it still maintains Saturday tasting hours in Dallas.
And just five minutes from downtown, ten minutes from Dallas Love Field airport and 20 minutes from DFW International airport;
The Dallas Museum of Art is expecting a huge crowd this year for Dior: From Paris to the World. For a cultural weekend visit it, the world class Crow Museum of Asian Art, and the adjacent Nasher Sculpture Center.
After a long day head to the rooftop pool and bar for some wind down time, or work out in the 24-hour fitness center.
Recently added is 50,000 sq. ft. of event space makes Renaissance Dallas an ideal location for weddings.
For business, families, and company meetings, the Renaissance Dallas Hotel is one smart choice.
