FROM THE WIRES...

Oakland, Oregon – [April 24, 2025] – Meadows Estate Vineyard & Winery, a Black-owned, family-run winery nestled in Oregon’s Umpqua Valley, is proud to announce the release of two standout white wines just in time for the warmer seasons: the vibrant 2024 Bella Vin and the aromatic 2024 Wild & Free Viognier.

Crafted with precision and passion from estate-grown grapes, these wines reflect Meadows Estate’s continued commitment to quality, sustainability, and storytelling through terroir. Since acquiring the historic property in 2019, owners Dexter and Marilyn Meadows have revitalized the vineyard’s legacy with 17 acres of Rhône- and Bordeaux-inspired varietals, an on-site tasting room, immersive tours, and community-centered events.

“Our vision has always been to create wines that are not only expressive of our land but also invite people to gather, celebrate, and feel at home,” said Dexter Meadows, co-owner of Meadows Estate. “Bella Vin and Viognier represent the kind of wines we love to drink—fresh, versatile, and rooted in our story here in the Umpqua Valley.”

Introducing 2024 Bella Vin

A bright and refreshing blend of Chardonnay and Müller-Thurgau, Bella Vin is the ultimate summer companion. With its crisp, balanced profile and delicate fruit character, it’s the perfect pairing for a backyard barbecue or light seafood fare. Hand-harvested and crafted to be dry yet approachable, Bella Vin is an easy favorite—whether enjoyed chilled in the sunshine or as a winter white by the fire.

Alcohol: 14.3% | Sugar: Dry

Pairs well with summer fare and casual celebrations.

Introducing 2024 Wild & Free Viognier

A 100% estate-grown varietal, Meadows Estate’s Wild & Free Viognier showcases the expressive aromatics and lush fruit flavors that define this Rhône classic. Notes of citrus, mango, honeysuckle, rose, and ripe peach leap from the glass, making this wine an ideal match for elegant poultry or seafood dishes. Its full-bodied texture and subtle sweetness create a rich, satisfying sip that lingers beautifully.

Alcohol: 13.9% | Sugar: 0.2%

Award: Silver Medal – 88 Points (2023)

Pairs beautifully with sautéed scallops, shrimp scampi, or roasted chicken with mashed potatoes.

Rooted in Legacy, Focused on Community

Meadows Estate’s vineyard sits on land rich in history—formerly a Native American winter basecamp and stagecoach stop—and continues to serve as a gathering place through its on-site lodging, wedding venue, and curated experiences. With these latest wine releases, the Meadows team invites guests old and new to discover what makes their small-lot wines so special.
