Jordan Winery Debuts 2015 Vintage Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon with Exclusive Dallas Release Party

Taste history in Dallas as the iconic winery unveils the first vintage of Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon aged entirely in French oak with an exciting event featuring a French barrel stave luge by local artist Richard Maxwell and an 18-liter bottle of wine

WHAT:         Jordan Winery 2015 Cabernet Release Party – Dallas

Join Jordan Vineyard & Winery in celebrating the official release of its 2015 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon—the winery’s first vintage in its 40-year history aged 100 percent in French oak barrels. Hosted by Jordan Associate Winemaker Maggie Kruse and Chef Kent Rathbun, the evening will feature a cocktail-reception-style party with passed hors d’oeuvres and passed plates—all paired with Jordan wines. This is an exclusive opportunity to taste the 2015 vintage before its May 1 release.

The pre-release wine will be served in 750ml bottles from a one-of-a-kind wine barrel luge, made by Dallas artist Richard Maxwell, which will be auctioned off at the end of the event with proceeds benefiting a local charity to be announced. Honored guests can look forward to an elegant event featuring samplings of the 2015 vintage served from the 18-liter Jordan Melchior, pre-release tastings of the 2013 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon in magnum, the 2017 Jordan Chardonnay and the Jordan Cuvée by Champagne AR Lenoble. The main event is limited to 100 guests, though media and special guests are invited to a private reception at 6 p.m., featuring a comparative tasting of Pichon Baron and Jordan.
