Drink North Texas underway.

I attended Drink North Texas this weekend. The consumer-focused show was an attempt by North Texas Wine Country to introduce the wine of the 43 wineries of the north Texas region to consumers. The result was a roaring success, with over 1,000 people flooding the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Dallas Love Field all to see little ol' Norf Texas Wine!

In addition to the wineries present there was Ten Fifty BBQ and vendors of honey, chocolate and other things.

Congratulations to Chris Hornbaker and all of the other people involved in the ideation and execution of this fantastic event. Virtually all, maybe all, were volunteers. We should make a documentary of everything involved to use as a training manual for other consumer-oriented Texas wine promotion events. North Texas Wine Country has created a template.

I heard...Expect the other big city in North Texas, Fort Worth, to get its own show soon.

DISCUSS

Location: Center of Dallas. Massive catchment area;

Venue: The Frontiers of Flight Museum is not just the best event venue in Dallas (jointly with The Arboretum), they are also, insiders told me, great to work with. The aircraft exhibits gave the kids present tons to interest them inside a safe, fun, educational environment;

Schedule: 1-day. 10am-8pm. Fit all schedules;

Date: May. Good weather. Before everybody leaves town for vacation;

Onsite Arrangement: E.g. large central sit-down areas;

Others invited: E.g. food vendors;

Strong Sponsor List: Discuss;
