National Coffee Day (9/29) and International Coffee Day (10/1) aren’t as fun without some booze. Espresso Martinis have become a staple in the food and beverage/ nightlife scene. Here is an original variation of what the espresso martini should taste like. Try it at home!
Celebrate with the original variation of what an Espresso Martini should taste like – coffee cognac and espresso with a kick of Amaretto for perfect compatibility. Consider the Grand Brulot Espresso Martini in honor of the holiday.
GRAND BRULOT ESPRESSO MARTINI
2 oz Grand Brulot
1 oz Espresso
½ oz of Amaretto or Vanilla Syrup
Directions: Using a shaker, combine Grand Brulot, coffee and liqueur together. Shake (25 times) vigorously with ice and then strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a few cracked coffee beans and an orange twist.
