Sugar Factory describes itself as An American Brasserie but the kings of the cop here are the desserts. Particularly a dozen Insane Milkshakes featuring such things as a whole slice of cheesecake in the Strawberry Cheesecake ($19). There are also Old Fashioned Sundaes and Waffles. You could happily stop by just for dessert.
While there, line up on one of the Instagram walls featuring plants and flowers, mainly pink. Or order one of the cocktails from the massive selection, all available as mocktails. Each is served in a bowl-sized glass that could double as a summer house for your goldfish.
If you do want a whole meal, you can get that too. We has Tomato Bisque ($13), French Onion Soup ($13), Roasted Twin Maine Lobster Tails ($49), and an 8oz Angus Filet ($49).
We confess, we had to take some doggie bags. Our dog must be the most culinarily enlightened in Dallas.
Many thanks to Veronica, our waitress, for being so attentive. Mario, manager, for navigating the parking in torrential rain (park over the street for up to two hours free if you arrive early enough to get a space. Valet is $10+tip). And to Sugar Factory for accounting for themselves so well at this media event.
