Aberfeldy single-malt scotch comes from the Highland appellation that dominates the centre of Scotland. Right now the distillers they are singing its praises with honey and devising cocktails to prove it. They even have a honey cocktail kit to make a specially prepared honey cocktail Herbed Honey Smash. I actually broke convention and had my Aberfeldy straight up. It has that light Highlands character that makes it so easy to quaff in front of a Martin Scorsese gangster movie (one of those that doesn't harm bees in its production).

Part of what they want to do (besides introducing people to the excellent Aberfeldy) is focus them on the crisis in bee populations. It’s called the Barrels and Bees initiative.

Here’s the full video story of the initiative starring Beth Behrs who is apparently an actress (I am so out of touch with popular culture, I can’t even name a Taylor Swift song).
