FROM THE WIRES...
Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15) invites us to honor culture through food, drink, and storytelling, I wanted to share a spirit and brand with history as rich as its flavor: Tequila Corralejo.
For over 250 years, Tequila Corralejo has been crafted at Hacienda Corralejo in Guanajuato, Mexico’s first estate to produce tequila and the birthplace of Don Miguel Hidalgo, father of Mexican independence.
“We brought together some of our favorite Mexican flavors- rich mole, smoky chipotle & bright citrus, to complement Corralejo Reposado’s vanilla and oak notes for a cocktail that’s bold and complex- just like our roots. This month is about celebrating the vibrant, evolving spirit of Mexico, and I think we’ve captured that right here in a glass,” said Nicole Arnell, Senior Brand Manager of Tequila Corralejo at Infinium Spirits.
To mark the month, Tequila Corralejo created a cocktail that carries those stories in every sip with the Cocoa Old Fashioned, made with Tequila Corralejo Reposado. The ingredients pay tribute to the authentic flavors of Mexico, capturing its heritage in every ship. And it is super easy to recreate at home.
Tequila Corralejo is a living piece of Mexico’s history, woven into the nation’s fight for independence, its culinary traditions, and its enduring craftsmanship. Hispanic Heritage Month feels like the perfect moment to reinforce this heritage to today’s drinkers.
