I did a tasting of the Anaba 2021 Pinot Noir earlier this year and the winery was a memorable discovery. They have just released 2022 Turbine Red, Sonoma County a Rhône-style wine that might be described as a GSM+PS (Grenache 24%, Syrah 30%, Mourvèdre 40%, Petite Sirah 6%).

It is deliciously soft, ready to drink, either quaffed or with red meat. The fresh, open nose is cherry, blackberry, pencil lead, garrigue and forest floor. Indeed, a little spicy. On the palate the tannins are silky, the flavors of blackberry fresh and lively, the forest floor flavors all harmonious. Quaff with movie or savor with Texas brisket barbecue or a steak.

Recommended.
