WINE REVIEW: Mascota Unánime 2019 Chardonnay, Argentina ($20)

by Andrew Chalk

Appearance: Pale gold;

Nose: Tropical fruit of mango, pineapple. Vanilla.

Palate: Bracing acid frames intense fruity core, rich French oak;

We were introduced to Mascota’s Unánime Malbec a few weeks ago and found the brand impressive. The chardonnay is no less so and, at this price, good value. If you enjoy the rich, fruity, oaky, California style of chardonnay then this is same from south of the equator.

Sample.
