A blend of 50% Syrah and 50% Grenache (the Syrah is named Shiraz in a misguided attempt to sound cool). From the tart cranberry notes in the notes to the soft delivery of the green tea, blackberry and earthy flavors in the mouth this well-made red Rhone wine punches well above its weight. It's astonishingly low price is just another example of that. Recommended.
